World History: Please review the worksheets we did on Thursday. Our test is Wednesday. Be sure you know about the Protestant Reformation, dynasties and monarchs, and the beginnings of modern science.
LSN Government: Exams are Tuesday and Wednesday. Please review the sheets we worked on in class! The exam will mostly cover Congress, although you should be aware of the following Supreme Court cases:
(1) Marbury v. Madison established the principle of judicial review.
(2) Gibbons v. Ogden established that only Congress may regulate interstate commerce.
(3) McCulloch v. Maryland established that the "necessary and proper" clause " (Art. I, Sec. 8, P. 18) allows the government to do many things which are not written down in the Constitution.
(4) Watkins v. US held that witnesses in a Congressional investigation enjoy the same protections as witnesses in a court case.
Chinese 1: Exams are Wednesday! Please study the rview sheets. We've learned about birthdays, finding things and people (zhao...), and some things to eat.
